It’s Not Just a Place or a Time. The church is a body of believers, each one uniquely gifted by God to guide, help, challenge, and support the rest. We serve God with our unique gifts because we have been saved unto good works (Ephesians 2:10)… and because it is essentially the purpose of our salvation. Through serving, we enhance our biblical understanding and our eyes are opened up to his unwavering love. We are blessed with long lasting friendships and our children learn about positive, heart-motivated ministry. Through serving, we create a ripple effect through the entire community, just like Paul’s metaphor of the body and all its parts working harmoniously together (1 Corinthians 12-18-26). In the same way, a gentle rebuke, a listening ear, or a loving deed, benefits the church by strengthening one brother or sister, who then supports another...The challenge is to find a need that God can meet through you; to find where your gifts can be used.
Listed below are areas in which a person might be able to serve within our church. These are needs that each ministry has and prays for.
Prayer Group Member – Pray on Sunday morning before service begins for both worship service and College of Discipleship.
Prayer Intercessors – Sign up to pray for one hour per week using online prayer requests. Can use Prayer Room if desired or pray at home.

Many opportunities are available to volunteer whether you are a teen or adult helper in the Nursery, Elevate Junior (preschool), Elevate and AWANA. NO experience necessary – just a love for children and a desire to model Christ to them. MEN and WOMEN needed! ALL volunteers are required to complete volunteer paperwork and a background check.
Nursery: Helpers needed to hold babies or follow waddlers around.
Elevate Jr. – Volunteers needed to assist the Lead Teacher.
Elevate (K-5th grade): Volunteers to welcome and serve as small group leaders.

Helpers – During special youth events there is always a need for adult supervision and interaction with the teens.

These people should be helpful, friendly, and will provide current information on the ministries and programs of our church to those seeking to connect, grow and serve at Cable Road Alliance and our community. Specifically, the host/hostess would serve in our Welcome Center answering questions, greeting, and giving gifts to our guests, and ask them to sign our guest book.
