Cable Road Alliance Church encourages every person to pursue LIFE by becoming a passionately committed follower of Jesus.
Everybody looks for life somewhere. In your mind you have developed thoughts about where the good life is found. Complete this sentence: “I would be happy if ….” Ever since the Garden of Eden men and woman have believed that their best life was found outside of God’s plan for them. But ever since the Garden of Eden, God has been pursuing a plan to restore to us the life that was lost. That life is found in a relationship with his Son, Jesus Christ. That life includes the components of intimacy with God, companionship with people, serving others, and enjoying life. This is what Jesus meant when he said, “I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)
To bridge Christianity to the next generation of unsaved people
- By building relationships with them
- By loving them regardless of what they do with God
- By speaking their language through a Sunday morning worship service
- By patiently discipling them toward commitment and maturity in Christ
WORD OF GOD – We believe that Bible based, Christ centered, life oriented teaching is the catalyst for changing lives (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119; Psalm 19:7-14).
LOST PEOPLE – We believe that lost people matter to God and therefore, they matter to us(Luke 15).
GRACE – We believe that love, encouragement and grace are the best instruments for creating life change. Therefore, we will emphasize the love and grace of God to hurting and imperfect people (John 8:1-11; Titus 3:2-7; Luke 6:35-36; I Peter 2:18-24).
RELATIONSHIPS – We believe that life change happens best in relationships. Therefore, LIFE groups will be our primary means of fostering new levels of obedience to the Christian life. (Acts 2:42-47; Matthew 22:37-39).
TEAMWORK – We believe that our church should operate as a unified community of servants with men and women using their God-given gifts(Ephesians 4:11-13; I Peter 4:10-11; I Corinthians 12:4-31).
SPIRITUAL GROWTH– We believe every Christian should be radically committed to Christ. This commitment begins a lifelong process of spiritual growth that is nurtured by Bible study, prayer, fellowship, encouragement, and training (Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Thessalonians 2:11-12; 1 Thessalonians 5:14).
PRAYER: Spiritual life change only occurs by God’s power. We can accomplish nothing apart from Him. Therefore, we will depend upon God in prayer for the work of the ministry (Mark 1:35; 6:46; 9:29; John 15:5).
EXCELLENCE – We believe excellence honors God and inspires people. Therefore, we will give great care to detail and will evaluate all aspects of the ministry to work towards the highest possible standard(Malachi 1:6-14).
