CHOSEN Student Impact! Mission Statement:

“Inspiring Students to Know and Believe They Are Chosen by God on Purpose for a Purpose.”

We believe God has a plan and purpose for all of us. We are not here by chance or because of a twist of fate. We didn’t just climb out of the deep on to the shores of life or because of some sort of cosmic goo that suddenly gave birth to all of existence.

Every man, woman and child was sculpted from nothing into something by a loving and marvelous creator. The Word of God tells us that we were fearfully and wonderfully made. He knitted us together in our mother’s womb & breathed life into our lungs. (Ps. 139)

Sadly many teens (and adults alike) roam through life believing they are here by chance and as a result their lives are filled with emptiness. Longing for more, but not understanding where to find fulfillment, they fill the void in their hearts with unhealthy choices that many times unfortunately leads down destructive paths.

Therefore we have intentionally chosen to take head on as our mission to communicate to students that they matter to God, they are created and chosen for a purpose greater than they are currently living and a relationship with Jesus is the answer to the emptiness that their hearts are seeking to fill.

Wednesday Nights:

This is an opportunity for students to come and interact with each other in a group setting.  Our youth staff looks for opportunities to connect with the students and encourage them as they grow in their relationship with God occasionally breaking out into small groups with focused attention for each individual student.  Students will have the opportunity to connect with each other and enjoy things such as our newly stocked Youth Café, along with exciting activities, engaging worship, and solid Biblical teaching.  Located upstairs in the Youth Room. (Wednesdays from 6:15-8:15)

Sunday Morning:

This is the time where we really have the opportunity to dig into the Word of God!  Sunday mornings are highly focused on learning more about God’s Word and how to study it.  All 6th-12th grade students are invited to come upstairs to the youth room at 9:30 AM where we will pick a passage of Scripture and dissect it to fully understand what the passage is saying and how we can apply it to our lives.  Sunday mornings allow us to be more hands-on and gives the students an opportunity to engage and contribute to the conversation!

A Letter From Your Youth Director

“Inspiring Students to Know and Believe They are Chosen by God on Purpose for a Purpose.”  This is our vision with the Chosen Student Impact Ministry.  I have been in ministry for about 5 years now and have come to realize that this is one of the most important things a believer should understand.  God has a specific purpose for their life and they are not just here by accident.  Come on, who doesn’t want to understand why they’re here and what’s the point?  As I was a student going throughout my school years I didn’t know these things.  I felt as though God had made a mistake when He created me.  I wasn't the smartest, the fastest, the strongest, I didn’t really feel like much of anything but junk.  The sad reality is that a lot of students feel the very same way today.  This is why my staff and I at Chosen Student Impact are highly focused on raising students up in the faith to understand who God has made them to be, rather than believing the things the world says about them.

As we go throughout each school year, God’s purpose for our lives is what we will be focusing on.  Whether it be through the activities, the worship, the Bible teaching, or the events, all of what we do is going to be geared toward the students understanding that God has chosen them on purpose for a purpose.  As we study different things from the Scripture such as living a Godly life, sharing the love of Christ with others, being selfless servants, and everything in between, we will always bring it back to the students purpose that God has for them.

One thing we’ll also be looking to do is finding opportunities to break into small groups for even deeper discussions.  I believe that every student has a different perspective that is equally important to a discussion and we want to give each student an opportunity to share the things that God is teaching them with a small group of students.  As hard as it is to believe sometimes, students want to know they can open up and share the things going on in their lives.  Even though the messages every week will be beneficial and applicable to all the students, the atmosphere of a closer and more intimate group gives every student an opportunity to share and allows them to feel like we really care about what they have to share.

Our youth staff is excited to play such an important part of the lives of all the students that walk through the doors of the youth room.  This is something we don’t take lightly either.  We are always looking for ways to grow the ministry not only in numbers but in relationship with one another.  If you are a parent or anyone interested in helping out with the Chosen Student Impact Ministry and have any questions, feel free to contact me at any time and I would be more than happy to talk with you.

Thank you for the opportunity for my team and I to serve in the lives of your students and the next generation of church leaders.

 Blessings,

 Zach Karcz, Youth Director
